Stanhopea not-wardii
3 Attachment(s)
I bought this as Stanhopea wardii, but I'm pretty sure that's not what it actually is. The flowers are smaller than a couple of wardii plants that I've had in the past, and the the scent of the blooms on this one isn't all that good (not quite as foul as Stanhopea connata, but definitely not anything that I care to get close to again). Other than maybe a hybrid, I'm not sure what this could be. Would anyone care to offer a guess?

Stupendous! Perhaps jenishiana or its hybrid. Mine is the species and nice job with this. :bowing

I was also thinking jenishiana, though my Stan ID capabilities have gotten rusty after not growing them for 13 years. Can you get clear front and side shots of the lip with the column in the photo?

Here are a few photos of the lip and column, Steve. Let me know what you think.

These photos are great. I just keep forgetting to look in my book at home.

I think this is oculata

Thank you, Steve! I appreciate your help with the identification.
