Myrmecatavola Frances Fox brown underside leaf
2 Attachment(s)
Hi, I bought a Myrmecatavola Frances Fox bare root from a local south Florida importer/grower. I was thrilled as it showed evidence of prior blooms and had a small bud spike forming. I potted it in a terracotta orchid pot with Better Gro Special mix after hydrating her in dilute seaweed water.
Upon closer inspection and 2 weeks out, I noticed brown on the underside of a leaf or 2 like a scar. The spike has grown quite a bit but has a purple section on the spike: maybe a node sheath? Does anyone have any comments? The grower told me it’s not a concern. |
Looks like there is some damage on the leaf but I dont think you need to worry too much about that.
The spike looks healthy to me, it just has some purple pigmentation. This is totally normal |
Agree.
