Is that not a great name for a Keys orchid?

I was hoping all the buds would be open close to simultaneously but it's not going to happen as almost a dozen have fallen off in the past couple of days. 51 flowers and 53 buds as you see it.

I bought it at a local flea market 6-7 years ago just because I loved the colors and was surprised to find it actually had a tag. It was planted in a small hanging coconut and that coconut is still in that pot somewhere.

The lip is actually what I call a 'hot magenta' which the camera just does not do justice to. Enjoy!

I recently purchased this plant in a 4" round plastic pot. It already has the makings of a beautiful cluster of orange with a red frilled labellum. I am excited to see your huge display of this plant.

Fred Clarke at SVO has sold seedlings of this from time to time, and he uses it extensively in breeding. Most aren't bicolored like yours.

Gorgeous and right up my street! I am a sucker for anything orange.
