SVO 9411 First Bloom - (C. lawrenceana x L. rupestris)
2 Attachment(s)
Gorgeous little flower with the diamond dust effect - I picked this up in bud from the recent Denver OS show. The leaves are very very thick, and it takes after the rupestris in plant/flower habit (no surprise there). It's been open for a few days now, and as of yesterday, it has a lovely lemony fragrance - unusual for a rupicolous hybrid!
Plants are still available on SVO's compact cattleya section, 2022 listings. Has anyone else bloomed this yet? I'd love to see how the siblings turned out. David |
That's really cool! And scented, to boot...

love the purple flowers...
I have another version to compare...eventually, maybe..hey. Sophronitis wittigiana x Laelia rupestris should be smaller and more in the pink range. :) |
