Dendrobium Parishii dormancy

Hello,

I am very confused about the status of my dendrobium parishii. I stopped watering for dormancy, but the new growth stayed green the entirety of dormancy. Now, I have a keiki forming, new growth, and my old growth is finally beginning to yellow. Have I done something to disrupt its growth cycle? If so, what can I do to remedy this?

Thank you for your time and help,

Nicolas D. Perez

It doesn't necessarily do a full dormancy. It has had a rest, I think that you can start watering - new growth says "it is time". It is still a bit early for flowers. But there's nothing to remedy, plants don't read the books.

I water mine some through the winter. It doesn't need to drop its leaves to flower. I don't fertilize until after flower buds are seen.
