Cuitlauzina pendula temperature and growing condition

After several reading, I realize that the cuitlauzina pendula pretty much have very similar condition to an odontoglossum or miltoniopsis?
Moist root all the time
cold night
and medium to high light
I have a nursery close by is selling them and I'm wondering if I can weather them here in Socal's intermediate condition. There's not that much indepth information other than the very general care info. Anyone have these orchids in their collection can help if I can get away with the 90F+ that happen occasionally in the summer?

I grow it outside, it's fine. I have read that it needs to be a little drier in winter but I don't give mine any special treatment and it does fine. Needs to grow hanging since spikes are pendant. I have it in a basket with medium bark, so well-drained. One thing to remember about the spikes - they are pendant but not soft... if you try to "adjust" them they're likely to snap off because they are quite rigid. I think it's one of the prettiest orchids.

That's super good news, thank you Roberta.
Finally I can have my first cool growing species. I love the color and flower of the C. Pendula so much, it reminded me of cherry blossom.

I also recall that it is quite pleasantly fragran.

The light where I grow it is filtered sun or bright shade depending on time of year. Be sure that it gets some shade during the hot days of summer.
