Paph spicerianum, LS for BS
Ok I bought a small (they're all small, right?) spicerianum from Olympic Orchids.back in October. It has 5 leaves, has grown one since I got it and the entire leaf span is 5 inches. Until I measured it just now, I had no idea of it's size, I think I would have put it at 2.5 inches, it seems so tiny.
Where is it likely to be on the road to maturity? As the reader may be aware, I'm new to paphs and trying to build my head space. This little guy by not imeediately turning it's heels up, spurred me to acquire the bulldog and a maudiea type (French Macabre) that I have since. Thanks |
It's smaller than many Paphs, and most bulldogs. It might flower in the Fall of 2023 or 2024. Treat it well and fertilize regularly. They don't need a large amount of fertilizer compared to faster growing orchids.

Will be hopeful (but realistic) and let it do it's thing :) Thanks!
As a rule I fertilize quite weakly every week or maybe two with alternate pure water running through. |
