Phal. Bud Color Bright and Different from Others
I seem to post in bursts, but thank you, in advance, for any help in this question.
I have a Lowe’s box store rescue phalaenopsis. It has started to bloom with dark fuscia blooms with a white ring around the edge, and it looks nice….except…. The last bud on the spike, it looks like, is a much brighter pink than the other buds. In the picture, I’ve captured the odd bud. Next to it are two other unopened buds on the spike. Can anyone tell me why this is like this or what’s going on? Should I be concerned? |
Especially with the heavily saturated color, or spotted Phals, flower color varies with temperature during bud development.

You make reference to a picture, but I don't see any pics or links in your post?

Looks to me like that bud may just not develop. Frequently happens, especially to the last one.

That’s what I was thinking, Roberta. Just curious if my hunch was correct or if wiser minds had more thoughts.
Thank you. I’ll keep an eye on it and see if anything interesting happens. |
