Hello from the UK!

Hi, I'm new here and hoping to pick the brains of some of the many very knowledgeable folk here in the near future!
Very recently I set up an open fronted paludarium of sorts as an experiment as to whether it could survive under my style of care, which is closer to benign neglect!
During my hours of research on other forums (Dendroboard and
UKAPS mainly!) and the internet in general, I happened across Pumpkin Beth's site and her amazing orchid tanks! Since then I've been dreaming of my own tank. However, I am acutely aware of my limitations as a beginner so hopefully you'll all be easy on me and guide me to the best species to start with once I reach the stage of choosing plants! Before that, I'm likely to need a wee bit of guidance on designing to make the terrarium as successful as possible.
I'll leave all that for other posts if I can't find what I need from searching!
Jo

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

The most important thing is selecting plants that grow well in your range of temperature, light and humidity.

Welcome!
I'm a newbie, too.
Lots of good info here.
You are interested in Terrariums, look at STYLES, SETUPS & ENCLOSURES > Terrarium Gardening > RJ's work in progress.
Nice pictures and talk about setting it up.

Welcome! Good luck with terrarium growing - I use a grow tent but would love to set up a cool-growing terrarium someday.

That's what I've been learning, the last thing I want to do is over complicate things!
