Rhynchostylis coelestis yellow freckles
 

Hi everyone, I searched everywhere and can’t find out what is wrong with my Rhynchostylis coelestis. I just noticed it has yellow freckles all over the right side of the plant. It appears to be a little Sun burnt. But I have never seen a spots like this. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

While I cannot say for sure, the fact that the spots are on one side suggests it was (accidentally) spattered or sprayed with something toxic.

Thank you for your reply! The orchid is mounted and roots are in sphagnum moss. I dunk the root ball in water about 1 to 2 times a week based on how hot it is. I have her on a south facing window with very good air circulation.

Also, I have never sprayed the orchid with anything, just the occasional mist with just water. But I can see how that can be true.

I'm guessing you aren't watering nearly enough, and the yellowing is sunburn.
