Looking for divisions of Brassavola Acaulis or Brassavola Yaki 'Black's Best'
 

Hello, title says it all. If any of the members have divisions available for purchase or tips on a source for obtaining any of these I would greatly appreciate the help. I have already contacted the breeder of the Yaki but he does not offer online sales. Thanks in advance!

I think 'Black's Best' is one of the most sought after divisions. That will be a tough one to track down.

I think some of the South American vendors have been selling acualis and I probably just saw one recently from a vendor coming to the USA. Floralia, maybe? PerfuFlora recently sent a list as well. I'd start with them. Might as well check Bela Vista and EcuaGenera while you're at it.

I recently watched a video where an unboxing was shown. The seller makes their own hybrids and Yaki was mentioned but not Black's Best.
Seller was Diamond Orchids.

I did see Diamond Orchids actually had the acaulis species in his plant list from a few years back, he however no longer has it listed for sale currently. I have sent him an email nonetheless to see if he has it in his collection at all anymore.

I do have a Brassavola yaki, but it is a small seedling and it seems like there is quite some variability in the flower judging by pictures I've seen. Allen Black seems to only sell in person at various engagements according to his email reply to an earlier inquiry I sent him.

I checked Eucagenera and a few you hadn't mentioned but I have had no luck. To be honest, I'm having a little difficulty navigating some of the South American vendors sites. But thank you both for the tips, the search continues.

The other thing to do is just wait and improve your growing skills. Interesting orchids eventually find their way into commerce.
