My Zigo blooming

As usual, 5 flowers...no more no less
Grown outside year round near my Cymbs, as you can see by the look of the pot.
This is the only one I have...and don't want any other...zigos look all the same and it gets boring.

wow you grow it way brighter than i do! i am going to move my two

i kind of agree about the genus, i am delighted to have the two i have but other than occasional bizarre ones they are all very similar

Go back and look at FairOrchids posts. Kim has some very different ones, as do I.

DirtyCoconuts 01-04-2022 09:32 AM

yours and kims are the few that have always caught my eye. the contrasting colors in the background are the coolest

Carol, can you post a link or two? I can't find any of the posts you've mentioned.
Thank you

this is dolly's latest zyg I have linked.

I also think I am giving mine too little light.

PS Do not like this post, if you like the picture, like dolly's post here :

Keep in mind that the warmer you grow it, the more shade it needs.

Thanks Shade
Checked the links!
I had seen, at least one of the posts...the flowers are beautiful indeed but they didn't lost the "Zigo look".:)
I'm more interested in species and, as I'm running out of space now, I only get small ones.

About the light of my Zigo...it never gets any sun, be it winter or summer. It's a large and clear north balcony but with white buildings in front at a relatively high distance which reflect many of the sun light. So, I can say it's a north balcony higher light levels than a "normal" north balcony would have.

Abrantes is about 39.5 degrees North. It has a mostly dry, hot summer, right?
