Guess who's in bloom...AGAIN!

E cochleata must be THE most prolific blooming orchid ever!
Between the two that I have, one of them is always blooming! I'd say it's a must-have for any collection

Hi Suzanne,

I really like the E. cochleata and they seem to like Fla. Great picture.

A friend is suppose to give me a division when whe gets around to repotting. I sure hope it's soon. Everytime I see one I get this urge to look online for one for sale. Got to hold out for a little longer.

Be strong, Lorraine :coverlaugh:

It'll be worth the wait...these are wonderful chids!

Awesome Sue!

Are these guys prone to an after-repotting sulk? I got one back in early Feb, repotted right away, and he hasn't done a thing since.

Not that I'm aware of, Yvon :(

Just give him time...when he's ready, he'll give you an almost constant show!

What lighting do you have him in?

Yes...patience patience patience...it's the name of the orchid game.

He gets all-day, somewhat indirect light from a southern window. You think he might want a little direct hit of sun?

Very nice! I have to get me one of these I think.:) Aren't they native to FL?

Maybe amp it up a little for this one. Mine gets pretty high morning light and then again in the late afternoon.

No...they're native to Puerto Rico and The US Virgin Islands. You should try one, they're rather easy and the rewards are almost never-ending :)

Thanks, Sue! :bowing
