Are orchids ok with spiders?

I saw a spider(not sure what kind) on my Phalaepnosis orchid. It built a little spider web on the orchid leaves. Are spiders something to be worried about?

If you can see the spiders ...... then that is ok. Spiders won't harm the orchids. But read up on a relative called spider mite .... which can also create web structures ..... and spider mites can harm orchids.

Spiders actually catch bugs... so they are fine (though perhaps not aesthetic in your living room). SP is correct, spider mites - barely visible to the naked eye and hiding on the undersides of leaves in large numbes, are bad. Yours sounds like a friendly one.
