Dolomita for Orchids

Those with experience could tell us about the use of Dolomite; frequency, with what can be mixed or not, and for what kind of orchids is more appropriate or recommended. Can be used with SH?.

For example, I use the European version of Kelpak. I understand that dolomite contributes the same or it could be an extra kick from time to time ..?

Thanks!!

See my comment to your oyster shell question. That same information is applicable to dolomite as well.

What he said.

I recommend against it in S/H culture because the particle size is likely small enough to clog up the voids, suffocating the roots, and ultimately filling up the reservoir.

As a general note, from a nutritional perspective, there is nothing unique about S/H culture. A plant needs the same nutrition no matter how it is grown. What you should be concerned about is the mechanical properties (size, shape) of things to add, and the impact they may have upon the technique.
