Cymbidium (red panther) covered in black spots on leaves and pseudo bulbs
5 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone
I hope you all are well I received 2 cymbidium orchids from a friend who is leaving the country. I noticed that almost all the leaves have these black spots on them and I don’t know if this is a mosaic virus or if it is watering problems. They have recently been reported in fresh media but I am worried that they have a virus. Any help will be appreciated |
Are the markings shown present on multiple growths of your cymbidium or just 1-2?
|
I would isolate from any other orchids and test for virus.
|
Are they growing outdoors?
|
could be signs of salt buildup of fertilizer burn. Just a small possibilty I will add in but always hard to tell from a picture.
Virus is always my last conclusion in this case also. |
