Hi everyone

I hope you all are well

I received 2 cymbidium orchids from a friend who is leaving the country. I noticed that almost all the leaves have these black spots on them and I don’t know if this is a mosaic virus or if it is watering problems. They have recently been reported in fresh media but I am worried that they have a virus.

Any help will be appreciated

Are the markings shown present on multiple growths of your cymbidium or just 1-2?

I would isolate from any other orchids and test for virus.

Are they growing outdoors?

could be signs of salt buildup of fertilizer burn. Just a small possibilty I will add in but always hard to tell from a picture.

Virus is always my last conclusion in this case also.
