Halloween Themed Orchids
 

Dear Orchidboard folks,
I was wondering if anyone has a favorite orchid to grow that is named after something spooky, or has a Halloween-themed name (like Lc. Trick or Treat). I would love to see them and look them up. Might even add some to my collection.

Edit: or any other plants along the same theme like Hemerocallis ‘Nosferatu’

Most of us have a graveyard of orchids, and orchid ghosts haunting us.

Ain't that the truth! I've lost too many.

Two that I can think of right now:

There is a Lc. Trick or Treat. For a picture: Cattlianthe Trick or Treat

Psycho Bride could remind one of Halloween:

I have a few ghost orchids and a LOT of orchid ghosts lol

Oh yeah! The ghost orchid hadn’t crossed my mind. I don’t think I could grow one of those though. I was thinking masdevallias and draculas, but I don’t think I can provide what they need. I know there’s a Daylily called Nosferatu, but I haven’t had much luck with daylilies.

i have two microcoelias and four chilochistas (i think) and one other puerto rican ghost with a crazy name.
