Burnt root tips in Vandas
4 Attachment(s)
Hello, I’m KikaMaggie and this is my first time in this great forum. Congratulations for you all!
I’m from Portugal and I have a small home orchid collection. The question that brings me here today is the burnt roots in my Vandas. I grow them in glass or clays vases, they got lots of new green and beautiful roots and after 2 or 3 weeks they suddenly burns. I water them every two days and do not fertilize in a regular pattern. Does someone can help me? Thank you very much. |
You have nice roots. I don't see any burns

Roots don't look as good growing in a lower-humidity environment as they do in a high-humidity environment. However, those roots are good enough for this plant to grow well.
|
They don’t look as bad as I expected from your comments, but as general guidance, they may need daily watering and higher humidity. Also, if you water is very hard, that could be an issue.

Thank you all for your comments. I’m glad to know that they are not as bad as I have thought.
The water here is hard, but I can water them everyday. Thanks again! |
