Paphiopedilum sanderianum Swan Song
 

Sadly, as I was turning the plant for a profile, the (unsecured) plant flew off the stand and dove to the floor.
The pot, flowers and plant lay in a jumbled mess. This is the last image:

Ugh….that’s horrible. Is the plant okay at least?

Not really - the newest leaves were crushed as well.
I may try to save it, but I know it will be years before it flowers again.

Sorry to hear about the fall... I'm glad you were able to capture/enjoy the magnificent blooms, even if it was for a short while.

Ouch, that's a shame. Has happened to me as well but with a less attractive plant. Hope it really isn't its Swan Song.
