Cymbidium OnLine Vendors
Any reputable recommended sellers?
|
New World Orchids has some. If you call, they might even let you know if they have some that aren't listed on their website.
|
Olympic Orchids usually has some. Her stock seems down now though. I got a warm blooming pink from Cal Orchid, which was tiny but, already blooming. But, the place I liked most is Santa Barbara Orchid Estate. Their website is incredible. Minatures, warm blooming, pendant etc. etc. Beautiful plants, well packed and shipped.

Are you asking about the large cymbidiums or the Chinese cymbidiums?
New World just go a shipment of Chinese cymbidiums in. I don’t by the large cymbidiums but I see plenty of vendors on eBay. |
Santa Barbara Orchid Estate has lots of Cyms. They have lots on their website, but ordering requires a phone call. Casa de las Orquideas Again, need to call them to actually order. (Don't know what it is about Cym growers, tech does not seem to be a strong point...) But both of these are major hybridizers with excellent stock.

I'll second both of Roberta's recommendations; for more limited selections, also keep in mind both Hausermann's & Natt's Orchids [both are in the Chicagoland area]

Who carries smaller Cymbidium tall orchid pots here in the USA?
|
Quote:
Occasionally you can get them from Orchids Ltd. or New World Orchids. You can also occasionally find them on ebay. |
Google "tall cymbidium pot" and you'll find some sources.
|
Olympic Orchids right now has a few Chinese-type Cymbidium hybrids, as well as warm-growing hybrids of Australian species. Plants are small, in 2" pots, but in my experience these small plants grow very well if kept moist and well-fertilized.
