Hi everyone!

Thanks to covid I began focusing more on house plants, which led me to get my first orchid, Macodes petola. Which, in the past year+ has turned into ~45 orchids, mostly jewels, dendros, catts, and vandas (I actually have my first vanda rebloom starting, super excited about it). Unfortunately for me, my apartment doesn't get really any natural light in the winter so I grow all my orchids under lights in a grow tent. This is a blessing in disguise as it's really easy to keep the humidity at 65-70%.

Looking forward to learning more and trying my hand at more challenging species.

Where in the world did you ever find a Macodes petola????????

Honestly, I just picked it up on etsy. I likely paid too much for a 3 leaf plant, c'est la vie.
