Phal Mini Mark
I know over the years there have been people looking for Phal Mini Mark.
Short of spending $125 (currently on ebay) there's a new source for these lovely flowers. Spiking plants for $55. Phalaenopsis Mini Mark [MM22] - $55.00 : Big Leaf Orchids, Fragrant and Novelty Phalaenopsis Just thought I'd pass this along. :) Judi |
Gah! Why would show me this? I would love one but currently don't have the room 😭.... torture...
|
Somebody here was pining for Phal. micholizii. Big Leaf has one left.
|
$125 for a Mini Mark?! Anyone selling maculata pollen? Let's remake the cross
|
The picture of the plant on big leaf is pretty bad. 2 of the three leaf tips are dead and looks like third leaf has damage
|
Sorry don't see what your seeing. I see one leaf with very minor damage. Don't see any rot or anything that would be of concern for most people.
Overall they look healthy. I don't expect perfection on plants that have been imported from Taiwan. Now if it showed rot or leaves broken in half or missing, that might be of concern for me. I'd much rather pay $55 dollars for a plant like that than $125 for what is selling on ebay. Regardless of price, I'd much rather buy from Big Leaf who is a trusted vendor by many on here, but also stands behind his plants. Ebay.............not so much...unless it Big Leaf on ebay. |
I have been away for a long time. I don't remember Phal. Mini Mark being that expensive. In fact, in the early days of the board we used to have a shared project where a bunch of use would buy the same plant, and we would report on our successes and failures. I remember Mini Mark being one of them. We didn't buy expensive ones, so it must have been much cheaper. Wow.

Having is better than wanting
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...01a89521_b.jpg new to me since Feb as part of a larger order. cant wait for them to bloom. they are in a 1.5inch pot and one even has a little spike. I'm very exited to see how that will go and update you guys on it |
Thank you for letting everyone know. Many people over the years have asked for it. :)
It is really interesting how orchids are available in cycles where they will be available everywhere for a time and then they cycle out, even the very desirable ones. Some large place does a bunch of flasks of them sells them wholesale, and then moves on to the next 'best' orchid. |
