Ada (Brassia) aurantiaca
1 Attachment(s)
This Ada (Brassia) aurantiaca just keeps getting more prolific every year. This year, I count 13 spikes so far, but there could be more - they sneak out from the leaves, and I don't see them, they're pretty well camouflaged until the orange color develops as they get ready to open. Flowers are quite long lasting, I expect it to dazzle for at least a month. Grows on my patio.

Wow! That's like fireworks on the 4th of July! Wish I had that kinda schtuff on my patio!!
|
Might grow in your greenhouse though...Accepts what passes for cold in California but probably would manage with a bit less chill. Snow, on the other hand, probably not...

Amazing! Added to the wish list.

As I am becoming more and more aware of my own preferences, I am discovering my hierarchy of “needs” is 1) weird, 2) big, 3) Orange then scented and prolific and long lasting in some order.
This checks two of the top three!!! Amazing As always, Roberta, you give me a high water mark to aim for |
Glad to be an enabler...

Wonderful growing!
PS: Speaking of enablers, Ecuagenera has this plant on sale right now; the deal ends tonight. ;) |
I had to remove this from my last order from Ecuagenera, as I was ordering a "bit too many" orchids. I now regret it.
