Rlc. Pamela Finney flowering not

My Pamela Finney put up three growths and the sheaths dried up, still there though. Now another three growths are finishing with sheaths currently green and 90% elongated. Are there any flowering condition triggers I’m missing? Growing under LED, lots of light, reddish blush on leaves, 14 hour days. 30 oC day, room temp nights

Any ideas out there?

Lights on 14hrs maybe too much? Just a thought.

an 8 hour "rest" for a couple of months seems to be beneficial. Which ones I am still working out but there is no harm giving all an 8 hour rest. Does not mean temperatures need to go down, but 14 hours all year has not produced as good results as couple months of 8 hours for me, that has really triggered a lot of my orchids. In summer light hours go to 14 hours for most of the year which is also a trigger and then in autumn again. Please do try different things and report your findings. It might be too late for the "rest period" in which case just carry on and try something different next winter, if it skips a bloom so be it.

I have around three RLC/BLC that are doing the same thing this winter. It's really irritating. They're in a new grow space from years prior, so I haven't really figured out the "why" yet.

Regardless, I feel your pain and commiserate with you!

If they're too dry for too long the buds will abort.

I have them out in the open and most of them have done that to me. Others are flowering without pods. This year I have not had a normal flowering. Perhaps from a strong and rainy summer, we go to an Autumn and Winter colder than normal.

Extremely nice flowers!

The only disappointment which I'm kidding is the images are downsized to 385 wide by 515 tall. OrchidBoard allows the images to get up to approximately 1024 wide x 768 height ....... or (which I haven't tested yet) maybe 768 wide x 1024 tall.

But ------ I'll take what I get hehehe. Very nice. Just joking about the image size hehe.

I can add that the OrchidBoard software actually further compresses our images - which basically loses details/crispness etc. I think that a 'regular' 1024 x 768 image before uploading is better (quality) than the 1024 x 768 image 'after' uploading. Just what I noticed only - not necessarily bad.
