First time flowering

I think the photo is a touch to flattering but it's only the first time so I will be patient and give it another chance........I know I'm to hard on the flowers sometimes......;-)

Nice delicate colour. What is it that you don't like?

Oh yes, it's such an ugly little flower. . .I don't know how you put up with such poor performance!

I am so laughing. . .everybody has a bad hair day, once in a while. It will be more and more beautiful as time in your care, goes on.

But for now, I think the blooms are lovely!

Ugly flowering plants just taking up VALUABLE growing space. . .might as well just send it on to someone who doesn't mind slaving over, what really amounts to, a Home Depot save.

Oooooh, I am gonna be so bad today. . .fair warning! :evil:

There are two growths with 2 flowers on each growth which is a pretty good flowering.

The problem is the shape really, the petals fly away which doesn't really show up in the picture. The colour in person on the sepals and petals is a bit dull unless I put the flower in direct sun (which obviously is where a plant would be at its best). Inside the house it looks very average with both shape and colour, you could say the colour is muddy looking.

Yes I am hard on the flower quality but I will keep it. I just won't show it.........yet.

How long have the flowers been open ? I had a cattleya cross flower that looked very similar to this when it first opened, but it did get flatter and darker with age...

It's been open about 4 weeks, I don't think it has much left in it.
