Several orchid vendors that I'm on the mailing list for are having some really good black Friday deals. Motes and Ecuagenera in particular.

Just thought I'd throw that out there for people that don't get those emails.

Took advantage of the Motes’ sale. Have a few more Vandas enroute next week. Super stoked!

Motes is super expensive even on sale. I guess I'm just not a sophisticated shopper.

What did you order DC? I got a couple of ridiculously well priced phrags:

Phragmipedium Ingrid Portilla (Incan Tears) ($45!)

Please disregard what I wrote below. It appears there are two Ecuagenera websites, and they have different prices.

Regarding Ecuagenera, I am a little upset with what they did. They raised their prices for orchids right before Black Friday and then added a discount.
I should have just ordered before Black Friday but their announcement made it seem like it was worth the wait. I ended up not buying anything from them for BF out of principle. The prices are still decent, but that was just deceptive!

If you don't understand what I mean, there was an Encyclia that was around $12. They raised it to $20 and the Black Friday discount was only a few dollars off. So it still ended up costing more than what it was before. It looks like the new prices raised just before Black Friday will remain in effect sans the discount of course.
