Beginner Terrarium Help. Orchids

I'm planning on buying the Exo Terra 24 x 18 x 24. I have many questions as I"ve never done this before. These are the orchids I have. Will they do well in a terrarium?

Vanda Fuch's Delight
Vanda Pure's Wax
Phalaenopsis Chain Xen 'Pearl'
Vanda Karen Ono
Pah Liemiannum x Delenatii
Paph Jolly Green Gem x Golden Days
Paph Conco Bellatum

Any other advise in terms of humidity, Temp, Air circulation or Substrate would be great.

I'm a bit confused as to how to set up the bottom of the tank with substrate and such.

I eventually would have this as a vivarium with a couple of poison dart frogs and was thinking of getting a fogger. Would this take care of all of my humidity needs?

Do I need heating pads/rocks?

Should I use only distilled water on my orchids?

I'd like to have the entire back covered with tree fern and maybe some dritwood incorporated. How would I mount it?

Is there an all in one self sufficient system that would take care of all my humidity, air circulation and temp needs. I'd really appreciate any help with this

Thanks,

Shawn

I'm worried about the Vandas. As far as I know, you need a lot of light, water and ventilation, as well as space. Make sure they fit spike and root. You should be fine with your Phals and Paphs so long as they all fit and you follow the normal rules of watering. But if you give Vanda light to those other two genera, they could get into trouble.

they are very small (vandas) and the tank will be the largest one available from Exo terra 24 x 18 x 24. I thought I could off set my light problem by keeping them closer to the top (towards the light) while the others remained on the bottom, getting shaded light. Would that work? Thanks for the feedback. Any help of advise is greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about Vandas. I do however keep Angraecum scottianum and Dyakia hendersonianum in an orchidarium, as you say, close to the light source. Both are closely related to Vanda, and the Dyakia is basically a miniature Vanda, and I suppose you can say they are doing well. If you think they can fit, do it.

Thanks. They will very small when I get them and will eventually get pretty large, but I live in New Jersey where the climate is not really condusive to growing vandas as they are used to a more tropical climate. I'm hoping the terraium will keep them happy. Thanks again for you feedback. It is greatly appreciated,

Shawn
