Fern Propagation

I've been researching how to propagate my fern in my terrarium, please see images - is it ok to cut and plant these parts?[IMG]https://ibb.co/pRL9SCR

Yes, but you should likely wait until a new plant has fully formed on that stolen before separating it.

Thanks Ray, did you see the other image? is it OK to cut and plant that part, the frond is beginning to form?

Wait until the new rhizome is firm and turning brown.

Thanks, most of the rhizome is brown only the end is green, the other image has a frond forming apart from the main plant, is it OK to cut and plant this. I'm being very cautious as I lost a nice fern 2 months ago trying to transplant it.

Fern spores germinate quite easily. Have you considered going that route, instead of cutting the rhizome?

Yes I'm actually in the process of try, waiting on some peat moss at the moment.
