phalaenopsis bellina culture

I bought a Bellina orchid in April and its not doing much. I've successfed grown orchids for awhile now but this is my first species orchid. I care for it the same way as other phalaenopsis.
It looks healthy but its just not doing anything. Any suggestions?
Thank you!!!

They like it a great deal warmer than many other phalaenopsis. That (no direct sun) and high humidity, with a nice, evenly moist and airy medium seems to be good.

My bellina started a new leaf late last autumn/early winter and finished growing it by March so yours probably did the same. I noticed that it had started a new spike a few weeks ago so, if your bellina is blooming size and your temperatures are warm enough, yours should be starting a new spike soon, too. Even if you get one that is more temperature tolerant (as I did), they still need the warmer temperatures to initiate a spike.

I also bought a Bellina in March/April. Since then, it fully grew and matured a new leaf and started on a second! I keep mine in a sphag/bark mix in a ceramic pot with outer holes. My phals seem to love air around their roots more than any other plant I own. It sits in front of an east window about two feet back, with plants in between it and the window. Watered weekly and fertilized biweekly. Temp is about 72 degrees F, more or less. Generally I think I keep mine under normal house conditions and have yet to have any issues. Low humidity doesn't seem to bother mine as long as it is hydrated enough. Always recommend repotting the orchid if you have yet to do so.

I think that looking healthy is a good thing. Maybe it's in the middle of growing roots etc to get itself started.
