What's in your garden chemicals (database)

I came across this information, trying to figure out (online) what was in the product Spectracide Immunox.

Yes, I know ingredients are on the container label, but I could not find a legible image of the product label online.

Doing a search, I came across the website CPID, the Consumer Product Information Database.

Do a search, you get the full chemical name(s), from there you can copy and search the ingredients, look up all you need to know about safety, etc. The Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number is also listed, and can also be used to look up information on ingredients. Especially when the ingredient name given is a trade name, rather than a chemical name, or the product has multiple synonyms.

Just thought some might find the information helpful.

Hmmm professionally in the lab, for anything you'd be working with, if you want to know this information, the vendor will usually supply you with a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). I think you can find this information for most things if you just search the item + MSDS.

for example:
miracle grow potting soil msds - Google Search

Yes, I was looking for something like a safety data sheet (SDS) when I found the database. (by the way, MSDS has been replaced by SDS; the format of the SDS is more consistent than the old MSDS). There is actually a link to a SDS on the database page for the product I was looking up.
