Somehow my post did not post. My message was if you live in a county or country that has care centers, I can recommend a pattern my friend is using to make dozens of DIY mask. The material should be cotton but could be a blend, twist ties or pipe cleaners to insert in the mask to shape to then nose, The best pattern is the pleated style, with ties, since elastic is disappearing off the shelves. we have no hospital in my county, but have a 100 bed care center/nursing home, and they will be out of mask in 4 to 5 days and orders for more are backlogged for two weeks. Hospital orders will be filled first for acute care of patients with the virus and first responders.

anyone that has the time, cloth or can order it, the mask are simple to make, and to make it faster, attach ties, because elastic is fly off the shelves like bathroom paper.
We are using gross grain tape for ties, as making the ties is the most time consuming part to sew.

Call assisted living center or Nursing Homes/ centers to see if they have the need for DIY mask. They are two layers of cloth ,you can put flannel in the middle or make an opening at the top to insert another piece of filter or if necessary a paper towel. This type of mask would be used by caregivers that are not working with those infected with the covid-19 infection.
My friend is sewing, I am ordering supplies and delivering to the care center and other places that need mask and have no way of getting them fast if at all.

Think about that nursing home near Seattle where many of the USA cases started and they had many deaths.
