This particular plant is a cross of Den. atroviolaceum and Den. rhodostictum. The flower are extremely long lasting. Not much infor on the web, any one there got this plant and can share the glowing condition. |
Beautiful blooms! I have one with this as a parent, but have been unable to bloom it although I think I was keeping it too dry

According to Orchidwiz (I just LOVE this program!):
Den. Nora Tokunaga is composed of species of which 100% take high light. Grow this hybrid in bright indirect light conditions. Grow this hybrid in cool to hot conditions, or 58°F (14°C) to 85°F (29°C) at night. 50%-60% humidity. Keep moist in the Spring-Summer, when plant is in active growth. Grow in a pot with porous, free-draining media. The pot should be small for plant size. Fertilize weekly, weakly (one quarter to half the normal dose). Reduce water/feeding during the cooler months. |
I had one for about 2 years. Nora is a very small plant but loverly little flowers. I also have Den. Roy Tokugawa which is in spike now. Flowers are similiar in color tho larger. This one is doing just fine. But I wish I had Nora back.:_(

Another good one in this same line of breeding is Den. Pam Tajima (eximium x atroviolaceum) Check out the hybridizer H&R Orchhids for more info.
