Scaphosepalum breve
Scaphosepalum breve
I am pleased as punch that one of my Scaphosepalums finally bloomed. I have no problem getting any of them to spike, they just usually blast at the last minute and the entire spike dies back. Not steady and/or high enough humidity, I am assuming. https://farm66.staticflickr.com/6553...d063f33c_z.jpg https://farm66.staticflickr.com/6553...8d9ae05f_z.jpg https://farm66.staticflickr.com/6553...4ea89273_z.jpg https://farm66.staticflickr.com/6553...9e3dc2cd_z.jpg https://farm66.staticflickr.com/6553...4c4dd1e7_z.jpg |
So nice. Had some a few yrs ago but thought I'd do better with other genera. Also called "rams head'' orchid. Good 4 U. Tiny but powerfully impressive!

Love it!
If you want me to try it out in high humidity I would accept that responsibility ;) |
Amazing SJ! And, mine is a sequential bloomer. Just finished after two years and now growing new foliage.

So cool, love it.
