Picture formatting question
How do I get the photos to turn up large on the message directly below my text without making people having to open attachments I have seen other users do this before and I’ve seen that there is a little flicker message. Thanks orchid identification :):)

The image must be hosted on a web server and the image URL is inserted into the body of the message between IMG and /IMG tags, enclosed in square brackets.
For example, the URL of the Orchid Board image in the upper left-hand corner of this forum is http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/falls_left.jpg" Putting it inside the IMG tags gives us http://www.orchidboard.com/community...falls_left.jpg |

You must use a direct link to the photo, not to a Flickr page.
I don't use Flickr so I don't know if it provides image direct links...I suspect they don't as a business protection strategy. Why don't you change to postimages.org? |

Orchididentification, I used your flickr link to show you step by step how to embed a photo in your posts. STEP 1 Click on 'share' icon under photo https://i.ibb.co/x8Ncv8R/Screenshot-...t-08-47-19.png STEP 2 A menu appears, click on the BBCode tab. Select an image size in the dropdown list (this is how large it will appear once embedded in your post, generally any of the 'medium' options will work best, in my opinion). Then copy the automatically generated link. https://i.ibb.co/RcjyZHG/Screenshot-...t-08-51-02.png STEP 3 Copy the link into your post as is. No need to add anything to it if you obtain the link in this way (no need for IMG code as mentioned earlier). This is the end result with your photo: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a7b820f3_z.jpgB nodosa by Frank Gordon smith, on Flickr TADA!!!! |

click here too In my Firefox browser, going to the O.P.'s flickr page Flickr brings up a photo of the plant. Then I just put the mouse cursor over that photo, and do a right-click of the mouse button. Then a pop-up window comes up with some options. I then select the option called 'inspect element (Q)'. Another page will then pop up, and you will notice a file name link, such as https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49193853713_4c6390cfc7_k.jpg You can use that one for linking. |
thanks everybody i now understand it
