Zygopetalum with leaf damage. What’s the cause? Sunburn?
5 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I have a Zygopetalum with some leaf damage on a few leaves. I don’t really care about the aesthetics of it and I am only really interested as to whether or not I need to isolate the plant. I want to know if it’s safe to have this plant next to the other plants as space has become very scarce and I’ve been isolating this one for a bit. I think the damaged is a sunburn as the damage happened outside during the summer and hasn’t really gotten worse. Thank you all for all of your help with my plants so far. |
Probably worth a second opinion, but if it’s just on the one leaf and hasn’t been spreading, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Thank you for your reply.
I apologize as I forgot to mention that the damage is on three different leaves. However, all of these leaves are on the same side of the plant so I thought the sun could have burned all of them at once. |
If it fits with sunburn and hasn’t progressed, I still think you’re fine.

I don't think that you need to cut the leaves.. especially since it's several and they're still green enough to contribute to the plant, and isn't spreading. (the sunburn hypothesis) Probably, the plant will drop those leaves anyway, but better to let nature do its thing unless it does start to spread.
