Phalaenopsis Mariae condition upon arrival
2 Attachment(s)
Hi guys,
I was so excited to buy this Phal. Mariae as it’s not always available for purchase. Bought it from OrchidWeb.com. I am disappointed. Looks like the plant is too small for its pot. One leaf is yellow. The other one is yellowing. The spikes look like they are half way dried out. I am not impressed for $50 I paid. What do you think? Fight with them to get a replacement or keep as is? Thank you! |
I would not be happy either.

Contact them. I don't think that you will need to fight. My experience with them has been that they are very responsive.

Thank you Roberta. I emailed them and will see how they respond. I just don’t understand how they expect customers to be satisfied with this? This is such a sad looking plant. I can’t believe that people would accept it in that condition. Thanks for your help!

Definitely Roberta! Will keep you posted. 🤗

For what it is worth that plant is very save-able. Totally not the point given it was a purchase and you deserve to get a top quality plant.
If you get stuck with it, it can be saved |
Spikes are never guaranteed because the shipping process can be rough on flowers (and a healthy plant can always produce more). There some decent roots but overall that's the part that I'd expect the vendor to address...the "healthy plant" part of the equation.

Thanks guys. They apologized and promised to replace this one with another plant. They let me keep the first one too. So I am soaking it in KelpMax solution. Hoping it makes it
