G. skinneri "albaa, and C. skinneri

The alba depicts a white bloom, the other a pink.

Ive never owned orchid of this size. Thay are small cuttings with fresh growth, total of 5 or so prawns on each, and about 1" tall and prawns encompus an area of an 1" or so when viewed from the top . They are mounted in a gell media and in vials.....how can I raise these? Thanks.

It sounds to me like they are both Cattleya, so they would both be C. skinneri. I don't know much about that species, Mauro does. But I would say to keep it in bright light, moderately warm and make sure it does not completely dry out for more than 3 days at max.

To me it sounds like a tissue culture flask. While inside the vial or flask, light should be low. Direct sun will cook plants in a flask or vial. If they are about 1 inch tall and have good roots they can be deflasked.

Deflasking is pretty easy. Caring for the seedlings is a little harder. They need to acclimate very slowly, as they are used to 100% humidity.
