Cypripedium pod
 

Hey,

I've got a few Cypripedium in the balcony.
I just decided to stick some Paphiopedilum pollen in one flower to test it out.
A pod has been developing for the last month already.
Of course i can't be 100% if isn't just coincidence. Maybe it got pollinated by one of the other flowers.

1. Can Cypripedium and paphiopedilum even crossbreed?
2. Can the seed germinate in soil?
3. Is it more likely for the symbiotic fungi to exist in mulch?
