Should I divide this baby?

My orchid has been in the same pot for 4 years. It's time to repot her. Should I divide her up? She has a small division. Thanks

I never divide unless giving away a start, or the pot gets overwhelming large for my taste. Were it mine, I'd just clean it up and go up a size. If those brown back bulbs are desiccated remove them.

Why are you thinking of dividing?

It doesn't have black bulbs, the sun makes a shadow on the bulbs makes it look black :).
I just want to encourage more new growths. I hear that if you divide the orchid, the back bulbs will create new grows.

Normally I avoid dividing since large plants are nice looking, but in this case your plant is already producing 2 separate clumps separated by the back bulbs. I would divide it, also because it would look nicer than having the center of the pot bare of growths.
Ultimately it's your decision, dividing or not dividing is often a matter of personal preference.

Not BLACK bulbs... BACK bulbs. What I said was if the brown back bulbs are desiccated (dry and nothing left) they won't produce anything, so remove them. It appears from the pictures there's a couple that are completely dried out.

Since you have a natural division already, you could repot into one pot, turning it so the two divisions have room for new growth, perhaps stimulating any non-desiccated back bulbs to put out new growth. My preference is to have one larger plant that two duplicate plants in smaller pots... unless you're giving someone a division. As Camille says... it's a personal preference otherwise.
