Going her own way

This Phrag. sedenii has decided she’d like to bloom upside down and backwards. :blushing:
I hope the next bloom is right side up. |
Hmm, now that certainly is interesting! :hmm

Perfect for putting on an end table next to a couch. Lie down and enjoy.

I like the way you think, WaterWitchin.
I do wonder what’s caused this blip in natural order. She was on a wooden table with a light above her, so I wouldn’t think there’d be any confusing light source to orient towards. And, she has bloomed ‘normally’ for me before. 🤷 |
That sure is an interesting way to bloom! If the plants goal was to get you to look at it more, I think it might have succeeded!
Stuff like that could happen if the plant was moved around during bud formation, (happens with Phals) or maybe the peduncle of the young developing bud was slightly damaged somehow, preventing natural growth or rotation. Who knows, plants do the dangest things sometimes |

She decided to conform.

A time-lapse footage of this one would have been fantastic and interesting. Capturing some nice plant aerobatics.

Beautiful. Seems to be the way of the world these days.
