"Brown but firm leaves" update
 

Almost a month ago, I came onto this board and posted my first few posts. I LOVE the knowledge that I can get from everyone here so THANK YOU SO MUCH!

So an update, I had posted that the leaves of my orchids were turning brown but they were firm.

In the responses from Philip (King of Orchid), he said it was not browning, but hyperpigmentation, aka anthocyanin pigments, from too much sun.

Ray also suggested I needed to repot, even while the flower stem had buds.

So I repotted that weekend and moved the orchid away from my window. The picture shows the progression of the leaf color, and my orchid is blooming.

I just wanted to share and say thanks for the help!
