Root death during winter

Hi, all,

Is it normal for all the roots of the old growths to die /dessicate during the winter rest?

Thanks!

That's going to depend upon the type of orchid, but if it is one that is supposed to get a winter rest, sure.

For Catasetinae, yes. This is normal.
