Here it is as promised. A photo of the smallest vanda spike on earth. Im getting very excited wish it grew FASTER!!
btw Can spikes blast by too much light? |
I hope I don't let you down... but to me that looks like an old spike that has been cut back.
Look one leaf above the cut back one on the same side. Its very small :D
 I thought that was a shadow!!
Awww, it's a cute lil' nubbin ;)
Forgive the quality of my digital camera it makes the spike look like a green dot ;) Its just big enough to photograph it. I spotted it a week ago while doing preventive pest checks. At that time no camera in the world could capture it :D
Nice! I guess you got the light thing figured out.;)
Good growing! |
Still got a long way to go, don't cha just hate how orchids make you wait...
AHa
I keep talking to it but it doesn't go fast enough  |
I recognize that as a spike!!!!And do you know why?#1 It's popping out at the third growth down (like Neos)#2 It's EXACTLY like the one I am finding on the Neo I received yesterday from New World Orchids!!!!!We'll be watching our spikes together. . .bet their going to be sooooo slow growing!!!Keep us posted with pics, please.
