Buds of Den x usitae 'red coral'
 

My Den x usitae is spiking (?) for the first time. The buds themselves look like flowers. Peculiar looking things!

Very interesting "spikes." Please post a picture once it blooms.

Neat, they look like little english ivy fruit clusters or maybe mini-grapes.
