Ecuagenera Masdie Haul
Hi guys,
So here is my second haul from Ecuagenera. The plants appear to be stable and in generally good condition. Some of them lost some leaves but tomorrow I will check the roots. I don't have their new pots ready yet since I didn't know they were coming today. The Haul consists of the following, Cavendishia bracteata <-- Non orchid, and Ericad. Masdevallia Anochecer Masdevallia Machu Picchu Masdevallia Morenita Masdevallia ayabacana Masdevallia coccinea Masdevallia floribunda Masdevallia goliath Masdevallia ignea Mh x Masd. ayabacana Masdevallia princeps Masdevallia princeps x Masd. ayabacana Masdevallia regina Good packaging I think. Amazing how they fit so many plants in one small box. https://c5.staticflickr.com/8/7789/2...a53bf5fe_k.jpgEcuagenera Masdie haul by Cesar Castillo, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8132/2...05c5410b_k.jpgEcuagenera Masdie haul-1 by Cesar Castillo, on Flickr |
WOW! You must feel like a kid at Christmas! Look at all those beautiful Masdevallia, and they look great. Now I'm anxious to see them potted and blooming. Have fun.

That is quite a group Cesar!

I'm gonna need a BIG tray!

Wow! Great Haul. I have Machu Picchu and love it. Good luck with them all.
|
Wow, when you go all in you go all in. I'm thinking of trying a few new ones as I have lost some and now have a new growing area that should work out well. But it's not going to be that may new ones.

Beautiful plants! Good luck with all of them! :)

Some very nice ones in that haul. Well done Jealous as we do not have the same opportunities due to Government regs.
|
OMG, can you imagine a Masdie being an invasive species in Australia. I think that might actually be cool. Anyhow, do you know if that is the primary concern of your government, or is it for protection of the species in their places of origin?
Or perhaps they are afraid of hitchhikers? Infact I went to the room where I currently have these orchids setup, and found a fly that I remember only seeing when I was a kid in Colombia. I'm sure it hitchhiked in the roots of the orchids or something. Well, the room is sealed off from the outside so it will probably die there. |
What a haul! great ones in there... I noticed you're in queens and coincidently that's where I lived in NYC last... grew many a species in my apt in astoria, especially the pleuros. In many ways it was easier there for pleuros here in socal despite not getting the cool temps at night...

That is encouraging indeed. Thanks.
