Callanthe 09-13-2016 01:39 PM

Thank you very much:)

Orchids4ever 09-13-2016 01:58 PM

Very nice
I like it :)

ansku 09-13-2016 04:23 PM

Very beautiful! How strong is the fragrance? And how tall is the plant?

Callanthe 09-14-2016 07:12 AM

Scent is not so strong. You have to put your nose not inside flower but close to. About 20-30 cm.
Plant has got approximately 25 cm.

Thank you! This helped a lot! I find this cross fantastic, but was unsure because of the fragrance, in case it was one of those that are so overwhelming to the point of causing headaches. It's nice that it isn't too big.

Thanks for answering so fast, this was very helpful and I ordered it today from Schwerter. :)

It's beautiful. I love these Brassovola crosses.

My cross is from orchideen petrens :)
They have very strong and healthy plants. I bought three St. Andre and gave presents for my two friends :) Everyone was in 13 cm diameter pots full of rots.
Today I repoted mine :)

It is very friendly cross because it produce two-three growth in one year :)

If you get yours from Schwerter, please show me here :)
I'm curious about your one :)

ansku 09-16-2016 04:11 AM

I think I will get my order in a week or so, and I will post a photo of the plant. And when it blooms (next year?) I will share a photo of the blooms too. I'm very excited about this plant! It's so beautiful, and the blooms look big. :)

Callanthe 09-16-2016 04:38 AM

It's true ;) flowers are about 10-12 cm.
I waited one year for flower. Flower lives one month :)

Tindomul 11-05-2016 12:10 PM

Wow, great bloom!

Here's a photo of the Bc Saint Andre I ordered from Schwerter (the biggest plant in the picture). The other orchids are Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry', aeranthes grandiflora and Tolumnia Dapple.

I'm really pleased with the size of the plant. So many pseudobulbs, and 4 new growths! Before repotting it, I wondered if there was more than one plant in the pot, but it's just one plant. It was potted in sphagnum and coconut husk. I repotted it in a mix of sponge rock and fine bark, such that it drains faster.

The plant is already making new roots :) Even some older pseudobulbs are making new roots.

Here's a link to an unboxing video I made of this order:

And I also made an update video on these plants, a month after I repotted them. They all are doing very well. I'm specially happy with all the roots the Bc Saint Andre is making. This makes me so happy! :)

Hopefully the Bc Saint Andre will bloom next summer. It looks like it has never bloomed before (no traces of sheaths), but it looks like blooming size. :)

Tindomul 11-07-2016 10:50 AM

They look good.

Callanthe 11-11-2016 07:12 AM

What a fantastic size! I'm glad that you showed me yours. Now it's only to wait for bloom :)

Callanthe 04-10-2017 03:09 PM

Ansku are you here? How's your St Andre? :)

Thanks for asking. :) My Bc Saint Andre is doing fine. It made lots of new roots, and now that the Spring is starting here, it started to make new growths. They are still very small. Hopefully it will bloom in the summer or later on. I will put pictures here if it makes sheaths, and when it blooms. :) Have a great weekend!
