Just as a side note -
"Phalaenopsis manni f. flava A.E. Christ.,f. nov. - ...
This is the anthocyanin-free form of the species. Although informally designated in horticulture under a variety of names (such as varieties alba and concolor), a valid botanical name has not been published"
This quote is taken from the book Phalaenopsis: A Monograph by Eric A. Christenson
Here is a nice little site with some info on this species - Translated version of http://pagesperso-orange.fr/bernard.lagrelle/Mannii/Mannii.html

Looks good ! and it has a real pot:rofl: I will give mine one this spring , I didn't think it would bloom this soon .I would like to get the wild (normal) type next . Thanks for looking . Gin

philoserenus 02-22-2008 02:11 PM

mine's blooming size too, 5 leafs with lovely pigmentation but since yours is alba, im gonna think it lacks the pigmentation on the stem. but i definitely wanna see how yours turn out.

and mines lacks a 'pot' too. i have it in a tupperware, haha

lolol glad I am not the only one that uses Tupper Ware the shallow ones with holes burned in the sides and bottom work good for compots ,, Gin
