Bulb. rufinum
Tiny red and yellow flowers on a long arching spike. Cute little things :)

Nice!
|
Just found this in my collection had been mismarked. I have two spikes, one of them is 18 inches long, amazing. Going to put it in a basket after seeing the blooms. Nice pics!
|
Ooooooh I can't wait to see the blooms.

Nice. A member of the Section Careyana, one of my faves.

Grainy pics because I'm still new at this. But I think I understand why. But the spikes look lovely today and have a nice scent, kind of fruity/sweet. Maybe a fruit fly lure.

I think those pics are excellent, dramatic. Makes the plant look good. I love botanical eye candy.

She looks so good!

Lovely Elizabeth will be the next to bloom. Medusae is plumping up her spikes - I counted 14 today. Wowza if they all bloom.
And echinolabium is pushing out two new.... GROWTHS :D |
I hate her lmao!! You have one of the most beautiful echinolabiums. But she wont bloom. Mine wont either and im getting a different variety from bill. 'Strawberry dagger'

I'm going to be stubborn and stick with this one until she blooms, however long it takes.
My new theory is that it won't bloom until the basket is full of bulbs and there's nowhere else to grow :) Here's some more rufinum. I'm starting to like it more. https://c6.staticflickr.com/6/5550/2...a7fed1f8_c.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/6/5332/3...f5fd3740_c.jpg https://c5.staticflickr.com/6/5717/3...e004aafb_c.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/6/5657/3...c0a1450c_c.jpg https://c4.staticflickr.com/6/5458/3...2efd7407_c.jpg https://c8.staticflickr.com/6/5481/3...bf3f2e88_c.jpg https://c8.staticflickr.com/9/8669/3...07a81d82_c.jpg |
Well, we always stick with the plants right. Our only other choice is to get rid of it. Not much of choice if you ask me.
