Meiracyllium trinasutum in bloom
2 Attachment(s)
Cool - hot growing dwarf epiphyte from southern Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
I've had this one a year - seems to be an easy going plant. Watered when the sphag on the mount is dry. 1/2" blooms - wonderful cinnamon fragrance! 2" leaves. Thanks for looking :) |

Interesting, I do like it, I've not heard of this genus before, I suspect it is not common in cultivation.
|
Thanks, all! :)
I had not heard of this one before, either - until I saw it for sale last year at the San Jose Orchid Expo (from Gold Country Orchids). It was in bud at the time, and being small, I asked about it ... learning it takes a wide range of temps, is fragrant (added to the small size), I thought I should have it ;) Tommy - it seems to be an easy going plant, so I am sure yours will reward you with blooms without trouble ;) |
