I reacquired this species last year, and grow it in a greenhouse together with Paphs, Catts and an assortment of other Orchids. It has now rewarded me with two good size flower spikes, which certainly show why this is one of the plants called 'fox tail orchids'.
I invite someone with time on their hands to try to count the number of individual flowers. |

Counting the individual flowers, as I have heard, is something the judges have to do when it is being considered for an award. :evil:

And counting is assigned to one of the probationary (lowest rank) or student judges.
Also, there is another thread on the OB, where someone was asking about the largest number of flowers anyone has had on a plant. The winner on that thread will presumably be a large Dendrochilum. |
